Must hold or be eligible for an Oregon counselors license. We anticipate needing to hire between 2.5 and 3.0 counselors for the 2018/19 school year. These are new positions and will serve students in our K-8 buildings.  Each position will serve more than one school. The district's goal is to have 1 counselor for every 450 students in the elementary setting. Counselors should be familiar with SEL curriculum, have the ability to connect students and families to outside services, provide support to classroom teachers and building administrators in order to assist students in accessing their education. Group work, participation in Student Support Teams, CARE Teams, and staff meetings essential.  Contracts will be offered once the hiring process is complete and the budget has been approved.  Special consideration will be given to applicants who are bilingual.
