Must be able to perform all duties of a certified elementary teacher in a 1st Grade self-contained classroom, including, but not limited to lesson planning, delivery of instruction, classroom management, assessment, interventions, extensions, and communication with families.

Must hold or be eligible for a Oregon teaching license with appropriate endorsement to teach a 1st grade self-contained class. This position is at Mark Twain Elementary School, an in-town setting with approximately 345 students  in grades KG-2.

Special consideration will be given to teachers with successful experience in a 1st grade classroom, training in providing students with sensory interventions within the classroom, training in a Positive Behavior Intervention & Support (PBIS) model for elementary students, and/or experience providing academic interventions and extensions for students who are performing below grade level and above grade level respectively.
